Students will be assessed on any two activities that are chosen from within these activities. The objective is to benefit from Physical activities to maximize health benefits. They will be assessed by teachers involved in various activities in school.
Promotion is granted on the basis of whole academic year’s work of the pupil. Results declared at the end of the year are final. The general criterion for promotion is that the pupil has grasped the subject matter of his/her present class sufficiently in order to be able to follow the syllabus of next higher class. The promotion norms are as under:-
- Should obtain 33% in aggregate marks for the year’s average in Theory.
- Should obtain 40% in aggregate marks for the year’s average in Practical Exam.
- Must pass in all subjects.
- Should have at-least 75% attendance.
- For classes IX-XII as per the promotion rules of CBSE.
ASSESSMENT & PROMOTION
PRE-SCHOOL – II
Evaluation and assessment is a continuous process in the Montessori department. There are three terms in which the children are assessed through day to day activities. No formal exam or test is conducted. The progress report is prepared in each term which provides a comprehensive record of each child’s growth and development. Grades are given from A+ to D and the child is assessed accordingly. No child is detained in the Montessori department. Children with outstanding performance in academics and co-curricular activities are awarded certificates.
III-XII (Students of Class X & XII will appear in Board Examination conducted by CBSE)
- It is compulsory for students to appear for all the examinations and assessments as scheduled.
- Promotion to next higher class also depends upon regularity at least 75% attendance is essential.
- Periodic Tests will to be conducted thrice a year.
- The Periodic tests will be conducted out of 50 Marks each.
- Annual/Board Examination will take place at the end of the academic session covering the whole syllabus.
Subject-wise Syllabi of each examination is given in the printed class syllabus.
III - X
- Average of the best two periodic tests out of 10 will be considered in the Periodic Assessment.
- Internal Assessment comprises of Periodic Tests (10 %), Notebook Maintenance (5 Marks) and Subject Enrichment Activity (5 Marks) out of which student needs to secure 33% (7 Marks).
- Annual Examination will be conducted of 80 Marks in which student needs to secure 33% (27 Marks).
Final Result will comprise the marks scored in Annual Examination (80 marks) and Internal Assessment (20 Marks)
